Text description by the architects.
The client brief was precise – an extravagant home, comfortably accommodating all the wishes of a family of 4 on a 3000sft plot in a dense residential area in Bengaluru. The core design principles we adopted in this house were that of luxury, grandeur, comfort and sophistication.
The Living and dining room made for one large space occupying the entire width of the home, defined only by furniture arrangement, flanked by a large marble clad television on one side and a 20foot waterfall on the other. The double height above the living accommodates a big 30 piece customised chandelier.
The master bedroom design offers subtle luxury with the use of onyx for the flooring and around the bed. a magnificent king-sized bed and a separate walk in wardrobe with an in suite bathroom complete this room
His young children wanted their rooms to be personalised to their individual tastes. The son’s room reflects a fun and playful environment, minimal, geometric and all white, with a built in bed and a lounger for him to play video games with his friends. The daughter’s room was designed to be a dreamy and whimsical, with soft curves finished with blush pink marble flooring.
The client’s love for entertaining made way to very unique spaces customised to this requirement. A large garage which could double as a mini party hall in the ground floor, a beautifully designed bar with a pool table which spills out onto a landscaped terrace, a plush 12 seater home theatre on the 2nd floor and a serene spa and Jacuzzi all connected by a lift.
