Beyond Designs’ latest projects in the city of lakes and palaces, Udaipur, offer just that – a modern and sophisticated palatial living surrounded by uniquely rich and intricate details, art and craft.
From the stunning entrance decorated with majestic lion sculptures on the ground floor to the spectacularly laid-out living quarters on the first floor – every corner of the apartment gets utmost attention in terms of the decor and layering that go into creating them. Exquisitely patterned marble flooring, perfectly carved pillars, ornate chandeliers and bespoke furniture pieces – each of which makes a unique statement of its own, become part of this contemporary home.
As with all Beyond Designs projects, materiality and its exceptional treatment make all the difference. Age-old materials like brass, glass, crystal, exotic stones and richly woven textiles elevate the spaces to heights of opulence and beauty.
From the legs of the console tables to the base of sofa, from the surface details to the door handles of sideboards, from the frames of artworks to photo frames there is an exclusive touch to every little nuance that sets the furniture pieces apart. The lights and chandeliers bring their own glory and glamour to the spaces. And together, they all tell an age-less design story.
There is freshness in the way the colour palette is chosen resulting in elegant environment. The ground floor entrance lobby is an art-filled affair with intricately laid-out marble flooring setting a luxurious stage, and a collection of ornately framed artworks creating a rich background.
The first floor houses the formal living and dining, an informal living area, master suite comprising a living area, dressing room and two bathrooms, one of them being a powder room.
The son’s and daughter’s rooms too include dressing rooms and bathrooms.
A mantel crafted out of mirrors set against an exotic stone backdrop creates a focal point in the formal living room. The signature centre table made of marble with cut-work glass legs holds together an array of seating arrangements each crafted to perfection.
Delicately crafted twin chandeliers made of crystal and wrought iron hanging from a gorgeous ceiling fabric-clad in a deep tone anchor the luxurious dining space.
The master bedroom is decorated using an earthy wooden paneling as the backdrop, twin chandeliers on both sides of the bed and rich, woven fabrics for furniture upholstery. The adjacent living area showcases a wall with heavy mouldings, and another with a gallery of multiple artworks.
The daughter’s room is done up in an elegant blue and ivory palette, while the son’s room is done up in white, blue and tan shades with some playful notes in the series of artworks.
The powder room is a true show stopper with glass tiles and glass pendant lights adding a dazzling note.
Rich, ornate and full of grand gestures, yet under-stated, this apartment offers formal luxury at its elegant best.
