Text description by the architects.

The client wanted a home that offered a deep sense of luxury, elegance and style. A home rich in material palette, calm, comfort and high-end amenities. We created a contemporary canvas of neutral base that plays host to fine quality materials, custom designed and produced furniture by Essentia, and specially commissioned artworks.

This is a three-bedroom apartment with en suite bathrooms and a powder room spread across 7,400 sq ft space at the upscale DLF Camelias in Gurugram. There were no structural changes made to this apartment.

An impressive lift lobby takes you into the home. As you enter, on the left is a huge family lounge followed by a joint dining area and a kitchen at the back of the lobby.

On the right from the entrance lobby, we have two en suite master bedrooms and an en suite guest bedroom.

What is the theme of the home? Have you stuck to one theme or experimented with various design and decor ideas?

Modern minimal aesthetic when combined with unabashed luxury, creativity and boldness, has the same jaw-dropping effect as maximalism. This 7,400 spft apartment at DLF Camelias, Gurgaon, is imbued with an elegant neutral base that sparkles with symmetric elements and patterns. It’s a canvas for a play of the finest materials, exquisite furniture, custom designed and created in-house by us, and quirky, eye-catching art.

From the artistic lift lobby to the imposing entrance and luxurious, yet warm living quarters, every space defines the personality of the home owners. The three bedrooms with en suite bathrooms take care of their specific needs and comfort. Carefully curated accessories and modern lights add magical final touches.

The overall atmosphere is an inspiration for a life full of beauty and wellbeing.

Stylish and luxurious interiors bordering on minimal aesthetics is the theme of the home. While keeping the theme common, we experiment with the design of the furniture by introducing different contours and silhouettes, and a unique mix of materials. By designing and manufacturing in-house all furniture pieces, wardrobes, bathroom vanities and mirrors, we lend exclusivity to the interiors.

What is the color and material palette you have chosen and how have you balanced it?

The colour palette is neutral with subtle textural and tonal variations. A play of whites, greys and beiges with a tint of gold accents adds luminosity to the environment. Artworks, décor accessories and soft furnishings bring eye-catching accent colours.

We use a wonderful mix of high quality materials – an array of fine quality marbles, wood, wood veneers, metallic accents. On the floor, the same stone has been used throughout the apartment, while the bathrooms have been designed using different tones and themes of stones.

Give us a quote on which part of the home did you enjoy designing the most and which was the most challenging?

The most challenging part of this apartment was the master bedroom, where we had to create a multi-functional master bedroom, with a walk-in closet at the back of the bed back wall, and an additional washroom. It was both challenging and interesting to carve out this layout and design, making it enjoyable.

Tell us about any sustainable/green features in this project.

We ensure that the interiors are bathed in natural light without depending on electricity during the day. And also we have employed energy-saving electrical systems.
