The name morning glory is inspired by Asian paint shade that is used in the entire residence. The aim of the residence was to make a timeless classic welcoming home. The layout is quite open-concept with gentle transition between rooms promoting a sense of calm and ease. The upholstery used are all muted and subtle and makes the space quite soft, bright yet warm and welcoming.

The large windows are the key feature adding to vastness of the home.

We have tried and kept the space very clean, modern and classic with simple and elegant furniture but added interesting decorative lights and artefacts to add the warmth reflecting  the client’s personality.

Tell us something about your studio’s design philosophy.

Charvi: As an Interior design studio we prioritize beauty and functionality of any given space. We aim at creating space that not only looks aesthetically pleasing but also comfortable and efficient for daily living. We focus on the client needs and lifestyle, customizing spaces that reflects client’s personality, values and specific requirements.

Tell us something about this project? What was the concept behind its design inception?

Charvi: It’s a 1750 sq.ft. 4-BHK Apartment in Mumbai and concept was clear from day one, we wanted it to be a modern – minimalistic space with muted tones and clean lines. It had to be a timeless designed residence ensuring that every room feels interconnected and cohesive.

What was your favorite design elements associated with this project and why?

Charvi: Actually I have a favorite room and that is the living and dining room. The curved sofas with boucle fabric, the light above the onyx dining and the bright walls.

What is your idea of a perfect residence a designer for any client? What shall be that prime design factor that makes a house a home?

Charvi: Idea of perfect residence according to me is very much the philosophy of our studio, a residence that is a balance of aesthetics, functionality and emotionally resonates with the client.  The prime design factor that transforms a house into home is personalization, rooted in unique lifestyle, preferences, and emotional needs of a client.
