The Urban Nest show apartment, designed by Cherag Bardolivala and the team at RC Design Studio, is a testament to meticulous planning and exceptional spatial organization. This three-bedroom apartment, complete with en-suite bathrooms, adopts a crisp and neutral aesthetic aimed at appealing to a broad and diverse audience of prospective buyers.
Designing a show apartment is a unique challenge, as it requires creating a space that resonates with an undefined client base. With only a developer-provided brief as a foundation, the design team set out to craft an inviting and aspirational environment. Their objective was to strike a delicate balance between versatility and sophistication, ensuring the apartment would captivate buyers across various age groups and preferences.
A defining aspect of this project is the use of a neutral palette and cohesive materiality. Marble flooring and wall panels create a sense of continuity throughout the apartment, while the choice of neutral tones infuses the interiors with timeless elegance. This design choice ensures the space feels expansive and universally appealing.
One of the apartment’s standout features is the study nook, located near the entrance. Enclosed by a glass partition, this area maintains an open and airy ambiance while providing functional separation. The custom-designed wall shelving unit in this space is a personal highlight for the designer, showcasing a blend of practicality and aesthetic charm.
