Text description by the designer;

A stunning embodiment of French-inspired architecture with a graceful Victorian touch, The Eternal Abode reflects the harmonious blend of classic sophistication and modern sensibility. Conceptualized and designed by Aashi Gupta, Principal Designer at Aashi Gupta Designs, this project is a celebration of natural light, neutral warm tones, and timeless design, where every detail tells a story of elegance and thoughtful craftsmanship.

Upon entering the house, one is greeted by a lounge that seamlessly leads to a sun-drenched glasshouse—an airy and tranquil oasis made entirely of “French walls” that embrace the beauty of natural sunlight. This glass and metal outhouse, with its expansive windows, creates an ethereal environment where the boundaries between indoor and outdoor blur, fostering a serene connection with nature.

The residence boasts four spacious bedrooms, two located on the ground floor and two on the upper level, each thoughtfully designed to reflect a delicate balance of warm, neutral tones with soft beiges. To break the subtlety of these hues, bold accents of red are introduced throughout the interiors, adding depth and contrast. The primary materials used, including oak, teak, reinforce the home’s earthy warmth and timeless appeal, while light and modern furniture enhances the airy feel throughout.

In a nod to Victorian tradition, exquisite wallpapers adorn the bathrooms, offering a regal charm. Meanwhile, the carefully selected Victorian accessories and artworks breathe life into the living spaces, further accentuated by mirrorwork that adds both dimension and light. The living room and bedrooms showcase beautifully crafted wooden oak and teak furniture, balancing modern aesthetics with old-world elegance.

One of the standout features of The Eternal Abode is the library-cum-nursery—a Victorian green sanctuary perfect for unwinding and nurturing young minds. Designed for a young couple and their twins, the home embodies a French Open theme, evoking a sense of openness, light, and tranquility.

Another unique element of the home is the framed antique rug, a personal treasure gifted to the family, which has been thoughtfully incorporated as an artistic centerpiece in the décor. This, along with the indoor firework installation, adds a bespoke character to the home, making it both a stylish retreat and a cherished personal haven.

Aashi Gupta’s skillful transition from a Victorian to French-inspired aesthetic is masterfully executed, resulting in a home that feels light, airy, and inviting, yet grounded in tradition. The Eternal Abode stands as a testament to the designer’s vision—an eternal space where elegance, modernity, and history coexist beautifully.
