Nineteen78 is the second restaurant launched by Architect, Interior Designer, Restaurateur and Founder of Beyond Designs Bistro, Neha Gupta. She is also the Co-Founder of Beyond Designs and Beyond Designs Home. After tasting success with her first hospitality venture, Beyond Designs Bistro, a specially crafted couture experience, she was all set to start a new restaurant, this time around, a prêt affair, with Nineteen78.
The location, Select City Mall, New Delhi, a shopping and dining destination for the hip and happening, inspired the fun and youthful atmosphere of the restaurant.

The restaurant was designed by Neha and her husband Sachin Gupta, and you can see hints of their signature design style – boldness in colour and scale, and some unexpected design features. From the glass facade decorated with artistic touches, to the elegant brass handle of the door, you can sense the attention to details.

Conceived as a boutique restaurant, the space impresses with a clever mix of contemporary styles. A neutral base palette of grey comes alive with colourful and quirky artworks in varying sizes. Moldings and corner wall details add hints of classical design.    

The bunch of lights made of steel and fibre in white fill the atmosphere with a fun vibe, giving the space its signature appeal.

The furniture, custom created in-house, brings oodles of style and spunk. White marble tables with cast metal base are paired with retro-style wooden chairs with seats upholstered in zesty shades, and sofa seating in leather upholstery.

Fresh accent shades and fun design features keep the environment full of vigour and style. The whole vibe is light and bright on the senses.
